Memphis (Hybrid) Python User Group

New date and location for November 2024 meeting!

For the month of November 2024, we will be meeting a week early, on the second Monday of the month, November 11 at 6PM. Also, the meeting will be hybrid (The Meetup page says online but that's so I can add the Teams link). Those local to Memphis are encouraged to join us in person at the Microsoft office on the 8th floor of 6750 Poplar Ave. For those who wish to attend remote, a Teams URL will be provided.

Important: If you attend in-person, you must RSVP. This is a requirement of our host making it possible for us to have hybrid meetups. The RSVPs will be closed at 8AM central time on Monday, November 11, 2024.

Our speaker this month is George Spake. George is a software engineer at Ookla and a founder and co-organizer of the DevMemphis user group.

FastApi is a fun and exciting HTTP service API framework (written in Python, of course) with lots of really cool features. Let's walk through a real app built using full-stack-fastapi-template and talk about the fastAPI framework, alembic, pydantic, sqlModel, openApi, typescript, tailwind, and other stuff.
