GitHub Copilot in 2026 - Memphis Python UG Feb 2026

Date Change: The meeting has been changed to Monday, February 23.

This month we'll introduce GitHub Copilot, the AI coding assistant from Microsoft. We'll see how to setup GitHub Copilot and use it from Visual Studio Code, generate completions, suggest edits and explain code. And we will see how to use GitHub Copilot at the command line and inside of Microsoft Azure. Most of the code samples will be Python, but the concepts will apply across languages and platforms.
