This month, the meetup will discuss Microsoft Foundry Local that enables you to run LLMs directly on your Windows or macOS machine.

With Foundry Local, you can prototype and develop AI application locally using SDKs (including Python) and then seamlessly scale those applications into the cloud.

Foundry Local plays an important role in several scenarios including:

• Working with sensitive and regulated data
• Build edge and on-device AI applications
• Reducing reliance on cloud-based models

We'll see how to get started with Foundry Local and build AI applications using Python that are independent from the cloud, even on machines without a GPU.
