We’re excited to continue our 3-part Microsoft Fabric series with:
Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering: From Transactions to Analytics
Part 2 of our Microsoft Fabric series
In this session, Richard Adams will build on the foundation from Part 1 and walk through how data engineering works inside Microsoft Fabric using Microsoft’s Wide World Importers dataset.
The focus will be on taking transaction-oriented data and shaping it into analytics-ready structures that support better reporting, modeling, and decision-making. We will look at how data moves through the process, why structure matters, and how Fabric can help create a cleaner path from operational data to meaningful business insights.
This session is especially relevant for finance and accounting professionals who want to better understand how modern data platforms, pipelines, semantic models, and reporting workflows support financial analysis, operational visibility, and business intelligence.
Learning focus:
• Understand how transactional data can be prepared for analytics
• See how Microsoft Fabric supports data engineering workflows
• Learn why data structure matters for reporting and decision-making
• Connect modern data concepts to finance, accounting, and business intelligence use cases
