We will discuss OCI Images: what they are, where they live, and how to build them efficiently. We’ll talk about layers, registries, and build strategies. This is not a presentation about building Dockerfiles; we might briefly visit Docker tools, but we’re going to focus largely on OCI Images without Docker.

Joey Brown is a software platform engineer who loves helping developers deliver effective software. With over 10 years of experience, he’s worked in several industries and continuously gravitates towards devops and developer experience. These days, he works at Heroku and focuses on software lifecycle. When he’s not building software, he’s probably hanging with his family or taking bad shots on the golf course.
