James Miller is a dedicated Certified Public Accountant and Professional Consultant with a focus on the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) sector. With over twenty years in the field, James has a track record of assessing potential mergers and ensuring they fit with a company's growth goals. He currently plays a key role at Vital Records Control (VRC), guiding the company's M&A strategies. James recently earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) certification, highlighting his dedication to the M&A field. In a bid to further augment VRC's capabilities, James has been actively harnessing the power of Power BI and big data. He's at the forefront of developing advanced models and, with the aid of Azure, is spearheading a transformative shift in VRC's reporting functions. This initiative not only modernizes the accounting department's operations but also positions VRC for future scalability. James holds a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Memphis, with specializations in Tax and Data Analytics. Outside of work, James is a devoted husband and father. Currently, he has 2 adult children, a 10-month-old and 3 grandkids. He finds joy in taking his newest son hiking, watching the little one's curiosity grow with each new discovery. Their trips to the zoo are always filled with wonder, and James loves observing his son's fascination with the animals. Additionally, James enjoys solving challenging problems, reading, appreciating Mozart's music, and savoring the unique flavors and scents of artisan loose leaf teas.
