Many fathers ask:
“Why is my child behaving this way?”
But beneath that question may be another:
“Am I truly connected to my child?”
UNICEF highlights that communication with children goes far beyond instructions and discipline. The tone of our voice, body language, eye contact, emotional reactions, and ability to listen all shape how children learn trust, emotional safety, and connection. Active listening, reflective responses, emotional validation, and calm communication help children feel heard rather than controlled. [1]
At the same time, bonding is often built through small and ordinary moments. UNICEF also emphasises that quality time, play, shared activities, laughter, curiosity, and simple presence help strengthen a child’s emotional development and deepen parent-child connection. Children may not always remember what we taught them, but they often remember how they felt around us. [2]
Men’s Circle explores the question of understanding children’s behaviour and the fathers we wish would be. No children are asking for perfection. Just emotional connection.
This is not a parenting seminar.
Not a space for perfect fathers.
Just men reflecting honestly on fatherhood and the quiet responsibility of raising another human being.
