About us

This is a men’s group for honest, grounded communication about what is actually happening in our lives.

Men come to this group to speak openly about physical challenges, emotional strain, relationships, work, purpose, health, fatherhood, isolation, anger, grief, sexuality, recovery, and the quiet pressures many men carry alone. No topic is excluded as long as it is shared with respect and personal responsibility.

The emphasis of this group is direct experience, not fixing, advising, or performing. You are not required to be articulate, positive, confident, or “together.” You are asked to be real, present, and respectful of the structure.

The group is facilitated, not free-form. There is a clear container that supports:
• speaking from lived experience rather than theory or complaint
• listening without interrupting, rescuing, or correcting
• emotional honesty without overwhelm or domination
• personal accountability rather than blame

This structure allows men to slow down, be heard, and reconnect with their own clarity and authority.

You do not need prior experience in men’s work to attend. You also do not need to be in crisis. Many men join because they want a place to speak honestly without burdening partners, friends, or family—or because they want to practice being more grounded and direct in how they communicate.

This group is open to men aged 18 and older.

## Leader
I've been in men's work since 2004—participating in and leading groups, and learning what actually helps men change versus what's just talk. I've been sober for 10 years. I transformed a divorce into a functional co-parenting relationship. I've done the work on masculinity, emotional regulation, and showing up in relationship without losing my temper or my empathy. I live in Durango with my fiancé and my 15-year-old son.
