FIELD TRIP - Ward Massacre Site, Caldwell

Meet at the private residence address. Shirley Burrows will talk about her family’s history, Native American presence, and pioneer life in the area with stories and artifacts from her property and the surrounding area.

The group will then drive to the nearby Ward Massacre Memorial Park to learn more about this tragic historical incident.

Potluck lunch will be at the park. Bring something to share.

Ward Memorial Park is a day-use site and picnic area located east of Middleton Road between Caldwell and Middleton. Amenities include picnic tables, restrooms, and a walking path.
