Tour of Nevada Gold Mine in Elko, NV (Overnight Required)

ANYONE INTERESTED IN THIS ELKO GOLD MINE TOUR OPPORTUNITY???

***FREE luxury bus tour (limited seating) to/from Elko Museum to Gold Mine***

We did something similar in 2023 so wondering if we can get a group together for this event. Elko, NV is a 4-hour (238 miles) driving trip from Boise.

IMPORTANT!! the bus only holds 45 people. Please call the museum contact, Ann, to reserve your seat. we may or may not be going as a group so if you really want to go please RSVP with them.

The Carlin Complex, Elko, NV consists of several open-pit and underground operations. The processing operations contained in the Carlin Complex include roasters, autoclaves, and heap leach pads and include: Gold Quarry Roaster, Goldstrike Roaster, Goldstrike Autoclave, South Area Leach and North Area Leach.

Luxury bus transport from the Museum, Elko, NV to the mine and back (41 miles, ~1 hour one-way). The onsite portion of the tour will be approximately 3 hours. Drive back home to Boise after tour.

Overnight accommodations would likely be across the street from Museum at Days Inn, $80/night including breakfast.

Meet at Northeastern Nevada Museum, 1515 Idaho St. Elko, NV, 89801 in Elko at 8 am. Tour 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. A $5 donation to Northeastern Nevada Museum is requested per attendee. For questions or to sign up, contact Ann Sims at 775-738-3418 ext. 100.
