Yurt Trip #2 - Stargaze and Rocky Ridge Yurts

Details
Join us on Thursday Sept 18th to give back to your community by wood-splitting to provide necessary winter supplies to the Stargaze and Rocky Ridge Yurts, operated by Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation (IDPR) Other non-wood-splitting tasks (e.g., inventory control, trail-clearing, cleaning inside of yurt, etc.) are also available. Carpooling in 2 large trucks is available by IDPR employees, but participants with 4WD/High-Clearance vehicles are appreciated.
We will meet our hosts (Zane and Hailey, IDPR employees) at the IDPR "yurt garage" off Warm Springs Ave at 7:30 am and split into 2 groups of ~6-8 people each to carpool to the 2 different yurts.
We will use hydraulic wood splitters to split rounds and then stack them inside the wood crib and near the yurt. Other jobs are also available (see detailed schedule/work guidance/safety rules).
IMPORTANT!!! Please read the detailed schedule/work guidance/safety rules posted in the photos or this link before deciding on participating in this event.
OVERNIGHT OPTION: Optional overnight for FREE at the Stargaze Yurt. The Yurt has a bathroom, fully stocked kitchen, bunk beds, fold-out futon, large table and chairs, padded mattresses, solar power lights, wood stove, first aid kit, games and magazines. If you are spending the night bring a pillow and sleeping bag and your own dinner and drinks. Also bring your own breakfast/coffee and snacks.
