While scouting a nearby Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology (IMMG) Field Trip, volunteers found another unique geological formation (more Oolites) in Owyhee County, south of Murphy. Join us to explore and take advantage of the crisp, clear winter weather. Nature / Scenery photographers are especially welcome! Participation is limited only because of parking.

ADVENTURE: No real hiking/distance on this trip. Must be comfortable with walking on rocks and possibly crawling through small areas to continue exploring.

TRIP: 68 miles, 1 hour, 15 minutes, 57 miles paved, 11 miles wide, flat, gravel road suitable for almost any vehicle. 4WD vehicles are required for last 1.4-mile creek wash or you can walk.

CARPOOL/CARAVAN: McDonald's Federal Way, Boise
