Escorted Tour of Historical Bown House
Details
Interested in a glimpse of how life was for a Boise city family living in a 2-story stone house built along the river and Oregon Trail in 1879? A lucky 24 participants will hear about pioneer farmers Joseph and Temperance Bown as presented by the volunteer docents.
The six rooms are currently set up to show school kids what life was like for families during the 1890s when the Bowns had school-age grandchildren visiting them.
The docents will also share volunteer opportunities that impart knowledge for the school field trips.
