Our March MESS panel will review the different aspects of data access & storage speed: Throughput vs. IOPS / Data vs. Metadata / Real-Time vs. Aggregate

• Our own Brad Lowman of Disney debuts on the panel this month. Brad has held multiple senior engineering roles in his 25+ years with the Walt Disney Company, including his current role as Principal Systems Engineer involved in data center designs, storage & archival systems, asset management, & optimized network delivery. Don't miss Brad's real-world viewpoints of 'speedy storage.'

• David Sallak joins the MESS March Madness from Panasas (previously M&E CTO at EMC Isilon). David leads product management for Panasas ActiveStor (speedy) scale-out storage solutions and is responsible for product strategy & future requirements. David has written several papers on M&E workflow, co-authored a guidebook on Apple FCP, and has presented at NAB, IBC, CabSat and other venues the world over. David has also consulted on technical deployments for Disney, ITV, Tribune, Univision and numerous post-production facilities.
