The Trump administration's assault against renewable energy and climate research has escalated again, affecting renewable energy research at several Colorado-based institutions and leaving us fearing the next steps will be to eviscerate their crucial missions and erase their half-century of achievements.
Join us for this town hall and panel of speakers to rally in support of that mission and to hold up its immense value to the region and the world. CRES often features researchers from these institutions, and countless members have a connection, including our co-founder, Dr. Ron Larson.
We will have several knowledgeable presenters lined up with ample time for comments and strategic ideas as we aim to start a grassroots solidarity campaign.
This event will also be streamed (Zoom link below). We welcome private anonymous comments to [jcres@cres-energy.org](mailto:jcres@cres-energy.org), but let us know if it can be shared or read aloud. Stay for food, drinks, conversations, and organizing afterwards.
You can join online via Zoom: https://zoom.us/j/99984339144?pwd=G1dydCHqpZ0Tj5nr361ZBmrHYQ2R1F.1
Please share with your networks to help us maximize our impact.
Our next event is next week, Thursday, Jan 22, 7 PM: "Why Battery Storage is Key for Renewable Energy" https://www.meetup.com/j-cres/events/311812519
Ample free parking right outside. Wheelchair accessible, and we have assisted listening devices.
Our 7 PM start time is outside the busy traffic time, and getting there is easy. We're a mile west of the I-70 exit at Youngfield/32nd Ave (Applewood).
