Let’s end this year with this wonderful masterpiece!

Satoshi Kon skips over the commercialism of Christmas for a tale routed firmly in family, an unconventional one of three homeless Tokyoites who set out to reunite a dumpster baby with her parents on the eve of Christmas.

‘Tokyo Godfathers’ is Kon’s most human story, exploring the bonds we create, identity, and finally confronting the ghosts of our past. Thrown in for good measure is enough seasonal serendipity to create a perfect Christmas movie.
