A brisk walk through the lush, rolling hills of the High Weald, including several miles along the edge of Bewl Water. An undulating walk with a total ascent of 530 metres, but with no steep climbs.
Bring a packed lunch, the main lunch stop is at the village of Ticehurst at 11.5 miles distance where there is a pub (for drinks only), a tea room and public toilets, but there will also be a mini stop at the toilets and cafe at Bewl Water at 6.5 miles distance. Pub at the end of walk.
Travel: Take 9:15 from London Charing Cross (Waterloo East: 9:18, London Bridge: 9:24, Sevenoaks: 9:49) arrive at Wadhurst at 10:17. Buy a return to Robertsbridge.
Meet just outside the main entrance of Wadhurst Station.
Grading: Strenuous.
