Details

Metropolitan Walkers is part of the Ramblers, Britain's walking charity. All welcome for 3 'taster' walks, after which please join the Ramblers - info on the Met Walkers website

This is the classic Eastbourne to Seaford walk. The walk is briefly flat out of Eastbourne before climbing and undulating all the way to Seaford taking in the Seven Sisters. Refreshment stops at Birling Gap and Exceat but please bring a packed lunch. There is the opportunity to swim at the end of the walk at Seaford Beach for those who wish to do so. Please use toilets on outbound train to save queues at Eastbourne station, but there are still toilets at the station if needed.

Travel: Take the 09:24 train from London Victoria (09:31 Clapham Junction, 09:40 East Croydon) arriving Eastbourne 10:51.

Buy a return to Eastbourne; a single from Seaford to Lewes may be required for the return leg.

Please meet on the station concourse just past the ticket barriers.

Grading: Moderate.
For an explanation of the gradings, please see the FAQ - please consider both the length and grade when choosing a walk.

Finish point: Seaford
