YEE-Hawley and Pocono Potato Hike!

Join us for this very diverse, roughly 15 mile hike featuring some oddball Delaware State Forest trails, State Game Lands, and the all new Hawley Trail as well as a redeveloped piece of D&H Canal at the end!

Meet at 9 am, at the D&H Canal park on Rt 6 west of Hawley Pa. We will shuttle from there with as few vehicles as possible south to our starting point in Delaware State Forest.

Our route will meander through State Forest woods roads and trails, with brief connecting road walks, then on to State Game Lands 183 and more old roads.

From there, a short road walk leads us to Lake Wallempaupack. we'll hike the shore to the all new Hawley Trail I to the Gorge and down to Lackawaxen River.

We continue into Hawley and then head to the D&H Canal for the final mile.

There's a lot of different stuff to see on this one, with the tougher stuff in the first half.

The route is scaled off at 12.5 miles, but little side trips and/or turns will likely make this 15 miles.
