The Pawpaw Hike!

Details
Join the Pawpaw hunt at the Turkey Hill Nature Preserve. Bring a spoon, knife and some hand wipes to enjoy this special native tropical fruit. We'll forage for Pawpaw and eat them under the tree cover as we pass through the preserve. Pawpaw don't travel well, though I've carried some out using padded envelopes/bubble wrap. Half of the hike is on path along a ridge overlooking the Susquehanna River, which includes some scenic open grassy areas and a vista of the river. This part of the hike is leisurely as we will be looking for Pawpaw and eating them. We will make our way down to the Enola Low Grade Rail Trail where there is the traditional stop at the picnic table for lunch and eating more Pawpaw. Anyone pressed for time can opt out of the social at the picnic table and head back to the cars on the rail trail. Estimated distance of the hike is 7-8 miles.
