Miami is becoming more dog-friendly by the day and we wanted a way to keep track of all the great opportunities there are to meet up with fellow animal lovers in celebration of our wonderful pets.

Your favorite plus-one has four legs. Bring them along for coloring and connection.
Our dogs may be our best friends, but there’s always room for more.
Canine Connect: In Color is a dog-friendly afternoon designed to help adults 21+ meet new people — because having a dog by your side is a great icebreaker.
Meet fellow dog lovers through speed friending. Then grab some colored pencils and keep the conversation going over dog-themed coloring pages.
Artistic talent not required. Your dog will be impressed either way.
We Met in Miami and Royal Vet are partnering for this free experience designed to foster meaningful connection and community for dogs and their people.

3 p.m. Arrival: Check in, choose your wristbands and make your name tag. Grab a beer or some food and start mingling.
3:30 p.m. Opening: We’ll begin with some opening introductions and an icebreaker.
3:45 p.m. Speed friending: Meet new people while rotating through short, timed conversations with dog-themed prompts.
4:45 p.m. Pups in color: Spend quality time in random small groups while coloring dog-themed pages.
5:30 p.m. Group photo: Let’s capture the moment! Mingle with your new connections.
6 p.m. Event end time: Meet someone cool? Drop your Connection Card in the Matchbox. If you match, we’ll help you reconnect.About your hosts:

Thousands of attendees have participated in curated, facilitated experiences designed to spark meaningful connections since 2024. Equipaws Pet Services
Equipaws Pet Services has been helping Miami’s pet parents with reliable, professional dog walks and in-home pet-sitting services since 2011. Founded by Flavia and Frankie Berti, South Miami natives, their team offers services tailored to your pets’ needs. From daily walks for fresh air and exercise to pet sitting and overnight snuggles in the comfort of your home, we’re your pets’ other best friends, 365 days a year, from Coral Gables down to Palmetto Bay. We also love giving back to Miami’s pet community, supporting pet rescues, and uplifting our fellow local pet business owners with our many dog-friendly events and fundraisers. The Barnacle Historic State Park, 3485 Main Hwy, Miami, FL, USSAVE THE DATE! This is an event sponsored by Equipaws Pet Services, and our friends from Happy with Dogs will be there, too! We hope you join us on Saturday, November 14th, for the Holiday Barkzaar, a dog- and family-friendly holiday market with live music! Get your holiday shopping for your furry and human loved ones done early at the beautiful Barnacle Historic State Park from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

We'll be posting the schedule of events soon. There’s parking at the Playhouse lot and around the Grove. You can take the pet-friendly Freebee to the Grove Playhouse Parking Lot, which is across the Barnacle! Just make sure you download the Ride Freebee app to request a ride!
Santa Paws will come to town that weekend. Purchase your photos at a discount before the event here!
Tentative Barkzaar Schedule of Events:
- 11:00 a.m. Park opens. Dog lure course, off-leash area, music, pet vendors, holiday ornament decorating station, food, and drinks available until 4:00 p.m.
- 12:30 Holiday costume, pet/human lookalike, best trick contests
- 1:30 p.m. Santa Paws arrives
- 3:30 p.m. Santa Paws leaves
- 4:00 p.m. Park closes

Entrance: $7.00, kids 5 and under enter for free. This event is a fundraiser for Paw Patrol Animal Rescue and the park! Bring your blankets, appetites, and pups to enjoy the music, bay breezes, and ambiance for a good cause!
Dog policy: All well-behaved dogs are welcome! They must be on-leash except for designated off-leash areas. The Barnacle Historic State Park will require you to sign a waiver at the front door. All dogs must have proof of rabies and be up-to-date on shots. No puppies under 4 months are allowed for their safety.
