Microservices are the result of combining architectural ideas from lightweight SOA and DDD (Domain Driven Design), organisational approaches like DevOps and Agile Software Development, and new technical possibilities like Containers and Programmable Infrastructure. 
Implementing Microservices promises faster time to market, more scalable and less coupled architectures, and autonomy of individual development teams. 
This meetup group is for everyone wanting to discuss the real-world challenges implementing Microservices, sharing war stories and good practices. 
And of course helping each other out with advice and hugs when your Microservice experiment grew into a distributed monolith from hell :-)
