SQL Server Truncated Icosahedron Table (S2E1) - Ransomware
Details
We are launching a new season of our infamous SQL Server Truncated Icosahedron Table with Thomas =tg= Grohser. Today's topic is ransomware!
In this session we will not focus on how to avoid an attack by some type of ransom ware, we will focus on how we can ensure that the data we host in SQL Server con be recovered after an attack without the need to pay ransom.
For this we must look at how ransomware could get a hold of our data and encrypt it and what can be done so that we always have another current copy of the data that is not affected.
Unfortunately, regular backups is not good enough because it is more likely that your backups will be takes ransom than the actual database. Join to learn more and how to protect your data.
