Solarize Columbia Overview, open to anyone in Boone County

Details

Let us tell you about Solarize Columbia, a community-based group-purchasing program for solar energy, battery storage and other clean energy technologies. Speakers will be the Sierra Club's Carolyn Amparan and representatives from Solar CrowdSource and Dogwood Solar. Co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Columbia-Boone County.

The Solarize Columbia program is open to everyone in Boone County and is avaiable to residential, commercial and nonprofit property owners. Incentives and financing may be available depending on your location. Join the lunch and learn to hear more.

This group buying program streamlines the process of buying solar because the cosponsors already evaluated competitive bids and selected a proven local installer. This is not a high pressure campaign. In fact you'll receive a free preliminary proposal using satellite data without even having to have a site visit. Residential federal tax credits will expire on 12/31/25. Solar systems must be installed and operational to qualify. 2025 installation slots will fill up so don't delay if you are considering solar for a residential property.

The Solarize Columbia program is cosponsored by Mid-Missouri Sierra Club, Mid-Missouri Peaceworks, Renew Missouri, League of Women Voters-Columbia/Boone County, City of Columbia-Office of Sustainability, Solar Crowdsource and Dogwood Solar.

Adults. No registration required to attend in person.

You can also attend virtually via Zoom. . The Zoom event will be recorded for later viewing on our YouTube channel. Please register at the libarary website at this link https://events.dbrl.org/event/14305622
