GO: Shackerstone Fesitival 2019

Shackerstone Festival & Camping Weekend

This will be a Friday to Sunday late summer camping break in sunny Leicestershire. We will visit the nearby Shackerstone Festival where a huge range of activities and shows are held each year for the whole of Saturday, with walks, good pubs and socials at other times over the weekend.

The festival typical features the likes of air displays, strongman competitions, stunts, sheep racing, trampolines, family entertainment, beer tent and a whole load more.

The cost will be your campsite cost for 2 nights, estimated around £10, bookable by yourself. Decent showers, food, good ales, etc. You also need to buy an armband to access the festival.

Campsite: The Globe Inn, 4 Main St, Snarestone, Swadlincote DE12 7DB which is a canl towpath walk to the festival.

Also probably planned is a walk to the Rising Sun pub for food and their Irish folk beer festival on the saturday evening.
