Escape the outside world to an ancient & contemplative spiritual atmosphere of this magical, ancient historic place. With a 7.5 mile pilgrimage walk on the Glastonbury way. Route includes visits to the white well, chalice well gardens & the spectacular Tor with wonderful views of the Somerset levels. Followed by a visit to local pubs in the evening.

The Chalice Well gardens are a place of peace & tranquility. A must for anyone wanting to feel the spiritual healing atmosphere of this restful & ancient sacred space. admission charge £4.50 (card payments only). Assistance & guide dogs only.*mobile phones on silent & no music please.

The Tor has a long & ancient history and folklore. There is evidence of buildings, before the st.Michael's chapel sited on the top of the Tor, dating back to at least the 11th Century. It's claimed to be the mythical island of Avalon. Great 360 degree viewpoint from the top of the tor.

1200 meet at Rainbows end cafe
1300 depart from the market cross for walk
1330 visit viewpoint of wearyall hill & Brides mound
1500 Glastonbury Tor
1530 visit the chalice well gardens & the white spring
1700 social drinks at trad. pub, The Riflemans PH

Parking : Norbins rd CP, limited free on street parking or RJ. Draper & Co, Chilkwell St. BA6 8DB very inexpensive £3 all day & 15mins walk to town centre. Good place for parking & also a fantastic historic factory & factory shop selling genuine handmade British sheepskin gloves, slippers & other wares at great prices.
