Dovedale Getaway with Hikes & StopOver
As Spring arrives, we are visiting the famously scenic southern tip of The Peak District, straddled across the border of Staffordshire and Derbyshire, known as Dovedale, laced with hillsides overlooking the River Dove, and it is reachable in barely over an hour from the West Midlands. We will be holding two fantastic new walk routes and an evening out.
Appropriate walking clothing will be needed (we can never rule out cooler weather) including walking boots, full waterproofs, warm outdoor activity clothing, hats/gloves. Not trainers, jeans, etc. Although we may be fortunate and see sunshine! We'll need to take picnic lunches each day.
Stop-Over Accommodation
Some of us are booking accommodation locally to participate in the walks, please feel invited to join us. The Sunday walk commences earlier than usual accordingly. Either a 1 night or 2 night stop-over is possible.
Though we are arranging group accommodation once again for some of our 2023 getaways, it is not worthwhile for 1-night stop-overs, so please book your own and confirm once done.
There are several budget accommodations which are very affordable if booked now in January, though prices WILL increase as rooms fill up. If staying over, please RSVP asap to ensure we arrange sufficient walks (and spots on the walks) to include everyone.
