Another new route across the western reaches of historic Cannock Chase, passing such features as the Glacial Boulder and the Mere Valley

Logistics:
Meet: 10:15 for prompt 10:25 start.
Distance: Medium distance of 9 to 10 miles
Start Point: Anson's Bank car Park off Camp Road
SatNav: Gridref SJ979171 (or W3W passenger.loitering.regulates). The nearest postcode ST17 0SG will not get you to the right place
Parking: Free, 100 metres off the road
Terrain: Managed paths, undulating in places, though not strenuous
Refreshments: Bring fluids, picnic stop for snacks, pub stop at about 2/3rds distance, and possible cafe stop at the end

Directions: From A34 north of Huntingdon, take Broadhurst Green Road (right at Pottal Pool roundabout) and then 1st left onto Camp Road. Anson's Bank car park is down a track on the right after 1.3 miles (2 km)
Bring: Waterproofs & Refreshments & Good walking footwear, and clothing to match the weather.
Guests: Under 16s and dogs (well behaved, under control) may attend as guests. Very few stiles to negotiate.

As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety. You must be comfortable walking the specified distance in order to attend please.
