Perseids Meteor Shower 2023
Location: Wherever You Like!
Several group events coincide with Meteor Showers. Generally there are Aquariids in July, Draconids in October, etc. They are always fun to see when you're outdoors anyway! One of the main events in the celestial calendar, a meteor shower promising a flood of shooting stars.
Some of us will be stargazing instead of snoozing, some of us will just be out and about on a local meetup, or stuck in a nightclub or at home. You can sign up to this event wherever you are, and exchange thoughts on this event page.

Where to see it:
Anywhere Outdoors, ideally from a vantage point with a clear view of the sky away from the brightness of the moon, away from tree cover, away from bright streetlights.
THIS IS NOT A HOSTED EVENT. But if you would like to suggest an accessible public location, equidistant for others to be able to stargaze with you, then feel free to create a thread below

The Perseids are visible from July17 to Aug24, but should peak on August 12th. Best vantage point is wherever darkest, throughout the night, but we suggest 11pm-1am in order not to disrupt sleep too much.
