What we’re about
Whether you have annoying hot flashes, occasional mood swing that make prison time a real possibility, or you are smooth sailing through your middle years, let’s hang out, have some laughs and enjoy other women we can relate to.
This group is for women only, in middle age (or older as you can share your wisdom) who are looking to relate to other women, find some new friends, try something in or out of your comfort zone, or just get out of the house! No judgments, all types welcome, I’m not particularly good at organizing things, so a little patient and a sense of humor are always good (:
I moved here from Chicago about 2 years ago and find I’m in a phase of life where starting a meetuo group to get amazing women together living their best life just sounds good! I’ll choose a variety of different kinds of outing options from dinner or a movie to tubing down the river or even clay shooting! Why not!?
Join me and I’ll be scheduling something soon!

See all- Highland Brewery Live Music (Beer Week!)Highland Brewing Company, Asheville, NC
It's Beer Week!! (Well, it will be). So I'm pretty sure one must drink beer at a local brewery at least once during that time. So... join me for live music in the Meadow of Highland Brewery Wednesday, March 22!
The first legal brewery in Asheville since prohibition, Highland was started in the basement under Barley's Taproom. Now, it's southeast location is one of my favorite breweries to sit outside, people watch, and drink beer (dogs are welcome too!). Add live music to the list and what's not to love! Since it is beer week, they will likely have specials and maybe some fun new varieties too.
So... don't be left speechless to the question that will soon be on everyone's lips "What did you do for beer week?!"
(ok, no one will probably ask you that, and this feels a little like shaming which I don't normally approve, but hey, it's all in good fun ;)
Regardless, I hope you see you there!!!
- Alpaca Yoga (Yep with Alpacas!) - "Gentle Yoga"Winchester Creek Farm, Waynesville, NC
Yoga with Alpacas?!?! Uh... Obviously, I'm In!!
Shout out to Nicole for finding this, Winchester Creek Farms in Waynesville (sadly not associated with the cute Winchester boys from Supernatural, I confirmed they WON'T be there ;)) hosts Alpaca Yoga incorporating roaming alpacas near and in the area they conduct classes and gorgeous views of the mountains. The area is outside but covered with a concrete floor - so bring your mat (or you can rent one for $5).
Tickets are $25 and you can sign up here (just choose June 22, 10am option for "Gentle Yoga") - as always I suggest doing it before it sells out (although not sure if that usually happens).
Feel like you'll need to talk about it after? Smokey Mountain Coffee Roasters is just 7 mins away in downtown Waynesville, we can get a coffee, sweet treat and debrief after.
I am excited for this one, thanks again Nicole for finding it!
FYI "puppy yoga" not found, but please let me know if you ever see it.
