What we’re about
We will have a lot of hikes in Middle Tennessee. However we will also do a lot of hiking in the Cumberland Plateau and Cumberland Mountains which are between Nashville and Knoxville and between Nashville and Chattanooga. Most of these hikes will be long day trips but are very awarding hikes.
We will also offer longer hikes that involve overnights. These hikes are from anywhere from the Smoky Mountains to the Rocky Mountains or anywhere there are good hikes that the group would like to hike.
In addition to hiking we will be open to all kinds of outdoor activities from kayaking, biking, horseback riding, sitting around a fire, camping, caving, having a picnic, listening to live music outside, rock climbing or pretty much anything that is outdoors.
We may also have some social activities as well such as dinners or other activities that will help us all get to know each other.
We are always looking for people who are will to host meetups and I am always willing to help you organize your first few meetup events so let me know if you would like to be an Event Organizer

Beginner’s Hike & Brunch: From Couch to 8 Miles by Fall!
"Radnor Lake’s under construction, so we had to pivot—but honestly, could we have picked a better name for our starting point? We’re launching our ‘Couch to 8 Miles by Fall’ journey at none other than Couchville Lake! I mean, come on… it’s practically destiny!"
Here's the Link to our first hike at Couchville Lake/Long Hunter State Park.

Have you wanted to start hiking but felt a little intimidated or didn’t know where to begin? You’re not alone—and this event is for YOU!
Join us for a relaxed, beginner-friendly hike around Couchville Lake in Nashville. This scenic trail is perfect for first-timers or those easing back into hiking. We’ll take our time, enjoy nature, and encourage each other along the way.
Trail pros—you’re welcome too, as long as you’re here to cheer us on, not lap us!
After the hike, we’ll meet for brunch nearby to chat about strategies for getting in shape for longer hikes and to brainstorm ideas for future hikes. Our group’s goal is to work toward completing a 5-8 mile hike by October—and we'll motivate and encourage each other along the journey!

Weather-appropriate clothing
A positive attitude—no experience needed!RSVP Details:
Please RSVP to reserve your spot so we can plan for brunch seating. You can RSVP by joining through Meetup. Message me with questions or concerns. Feel free to invite friends!Let’s take that first step together! See you on the trail!
Full Disclosure: I’m starting over after ACL, MCL, and Meniscus surgery. I’m strictly a “flat ground only” kinda hiker right now—no mountains, no hero moves. But I’m aiming to be trail-ready by October.
I'm also new to Nashville and I'm looking forward to making new friends
If you’re recovering too, or just need to start slow—you’re in the right place. Let’s take it one step at a time together.
The hike will be 2.2 miles and can be shorter if needed as it is an out and back walk.
