Come and experience tastes from around the world in Merirasti's community kitchen with Katja Meriläinen!

IMPORTANT: Participation is free, but space is limited! Please make sure to reserve a spot!

Food and cooking in general is on of the oldest and universal ways of uniting people.
Community kitchen in MeriRasti is an easy environment and great place to connect with people of different cultures.
Let’s cook Mediterranean style dishes together!

Menu of the day is: baba ganoush (grilled eggplant), some hummus, baked beans, chickpea soup and something sweet for desert!

No previous cooking experience needed, just open mind and willingness to cook.
You are welcome to bring your lunch boxes to take some food with you after we eat and share what is left.

About the facilitator:
Katja Meriläinen is a professional Food and Beverage specialist and graduate of Haaga-Helia University of Applied Science, Hospitality, Tourism and Experience manager.
She has 10 years of experience in the field, in restaurant, catering business and nowadays working for Helsinki city, cooking for 260 schoolchildren in Vuosaari.
