• Did you know that Azure includes tools for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD)? And those tools not only to enable customers to easily deploy to Azure, but Microsoft engineers also use these tools!
• Microsoft’s Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) is part of Azure, is built on Azure, and is also used to build Azure. In this session Dave will provide an overview of what VSTS is and how it can deploy nearly any cloud-based application to Azure. He’ll also demonstrate how the VSTS team deploys this global, secure, cloud-scale service for use by our customers.
• Dave McKinstry's Bio:
• As a Program Manager for the Microsoft VSTS Community team, Dave’s role is to enable the Microsoft field and partners to help customers with their own DevOps Digital Transformation. Before joining the VSTS Community team, Dave acted as a Developer Technology Specialist for Microsoft to help customers understand and embrace development best practices and tools. And before Microsoft he consulted with various Microsoft partners as an ALM consultant, an Architect and a Developer. Over the past 25+ years, Dave has played nearly every role in the software delivery process for a variety of different employers and industries. When not working with computers, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and son in the beautiful Colorado outdoors.
