Stronger Dads, Cleaner Denver: Plogging the Platte
Details
Join Mile High Dads for a high-impact, feel-good morning of movement, connection, and giving back to our community!
We’re hosting a Plogging Meetup along the South Platte River Trail—combining light exercise with picking up litter to help keep Denver clean and beautiful.
Whether you're a runner, walker, or somewhere in between, this event is designed for all fitness levels.
### 💪 What to Expect:
- Choose your pace:
- Runners will head one direction
- Walkers will head the other
- Each group will go out for 20–25 minutes, picking up litter along the way
- Then we’ll all turn around and head back to the starting point
- We’ll finish with a group photo showing off the impact we made together
### 👨👧 Who’s This For:
- Dads of all fitness levels
- Bring your kids if you’d like (great way to teach them about giving back!)
- Come solo or bring a fellow dad friend
### 🌱 Why Plogging?
Plogging is more than just a workout—it’s a way to:
- Make a visible impact on our local environment
- Set a positive example for our kids
- Connect with other like-minded dads
- Turn a simple walk or run into something meaningful
### 🧤 What to Bring:
- Comfortable walking/running shoes
- Gloves (recommended)
- A reusable bag or bucket for collecting trash
Let’s show Denver what Mile High Dads are all about—strong bodies, strong community, and a commitment to leaving things better than we found them.
There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing how much cleaner the trail looks because of your effort!
