Whooooo's ready for a debut novel?

Everything the Darkness Eats - Eric LaRocca
From the publisher:

After a recent string of disappearances in a small Connecticut town, a grieving widower with a grim secret is drawn into a dangerous ritual of dark magic by a powerful and mysterious older gentleman named Heart Crowley. Meanwhile, a member of local law enforcement tasked with uncovering the culprit responsible for the bizarre disappearances soon begins to learn of a current of unbridled hatred simmering beneath the guise of the town’s idyllic community—a hatred that will eventually burst and forever change the lives of those who once found peace in the quiet town of Henley’s Edge.
From the Bram Stoker Award®-nominated author of the viral sensation, Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke, Everything the Darkness Eats is a haunting supernatural thriller from a new and exciting voice in genre fiction.

We've been wanting to do this one, but trying to wait until Denver Public Libraries had copies (the book just came out in June). As of August they still don't, so we're just going to plan to read this during September and meet with it in October. If the libraries are still behind, well, dang it, we tried, and I suppose we can all just buy copies and put money in an author's pocket.

As always, you're welcome to come if you read the book, if you start the book but don't finish it, if you read it immediately when it came out in June and want to reminisce, or if you just drive by Denver Central Library and yell, "WHERE'S MY LAROCCA, DAMMIT" and then want to come share your adventures with us.

We will attempt to share audio of the meeting via our Discord. For now, we'll plan on meeting at Black Sky Brewery because I love Black Sky and they love me. If we decide to relocate, this post will be updated.

Hope to see you!
