🌄 About This Event
🚀 Theme: Adventures and Misadventures
.
This week at Mile High Speaking Den, we’re leaning into imagination, creativity, and confidence with a fun, low-pressure Tall Tales speaking game.
.
Whether you’re returning or joining us for the first time, this meeting is designed to help you get comfortable on stage, loosen up, and enjoy the process of speaking in front of others- without worrying about being perfect.

⏰ How the Meeting Will Flow
🤝 Arrival & Connection (First 10 Minutes)
We’ll start with a few minutes to settle in, say hello, and meet a few fellow speakers.
.
🎤 Welcome & Quick Intro
The organizers will briefly introduce the club for new members, what we’re building together, and how this group is evolving toward a Toastmasters-style speaking community- while keeping the same relaxed, supportive vibe.

🎭 Tall Tales Speaking Game (Main Activity)
Then it’s time for the fun part. Speakers are invited to volunteer and take the stage and share a short story inspired by the theme.
Stories can be real, exaggerated, or completely fictional- this is Tall Tales night.
• 🙋‍♂️ Speaking is always optional
• ⏱️ Each speaker gets 2-3 minutes
• 👏 Applause when someone takes the stage and when they finish
• 🧘 No evaluations, no pressure- just practice and encouragement
We may add a light, fun “contest” element at the end, just for bragging rights.

🍽️ Wrap-Up & Hangout
We’ll close with a quick thank-you and details about upcoming meetings. Anyone who wants to can stick around afterward for food, drinks, and relaxed conversation.

🌟 Final Note
We will be meeting in the "Red Room" which is in the basement of an amazing coffee shop in our community called Hooked on Colfax. The organizers have been kind and generous in offering us the place for free and so we request our guests to purchase a delicious beverage from their most talented baristas.

Come for the stories.
Stay for the community.
And let the adventure begin.
