Details
🌱 About This Event
Theme: “We know what we are, but not what we may be.”
This week at Mile High Speaking Den, we’re exploring growth, possibility, and the moments that shape who we’re becoming.
.
Whether you’re returning or joining us for the first time, this meeting is designed to be welcoming, low-pressure, and fun. You don’t need to prepare anything, just show up curious and open.
.
🗓️ How the Meeting Will Flow
.
🤝 Arrival & Connection (First 15 Minutes)
Come in, grab a seat, and get to know a few fellow guests. This time is for settling in, casual conversation, and easing into the evening with a delicious beverage.
.
🎤 Welcome & Club Introduction (Next 10 Minutes)
The organizers will introduce the club, share why we started Mile High Speaking Den, and talk about what we’re building together, including how this group can grow into a supportive, Toastmasters-style speaking community.
.
🎭 Impromptu Speaking Game (Next 20 Minutes)
This is the heart of the meeting and the most fun part of the evening. Speakers are invited to take the stage for 1–2 minutes to speak on fun, thought-provoking prompts inspired by the theme “We know what we are, but not what we may be.”
• Speaking is always optional
• Topics are light, imaginative, and reflective
• Applause and encouragement for every speaker
• No evaluations, no pressure, just practice and play
• Be sure to grab a Kit Kat for the amazing courage you have shown on the stage!
.
🍽️ Wrap-Up & Hangout
We’ll close with a quick thank-you and details about upcoming meetings. Post which we all usually hang out at a neighbourhood pizza place and have relaxing conversations. We welcome you all to join us for a beer and pizza after the meeting.
.
Come for the stories.
Stay for the community.
