About us

Want to feel more confident speaking in front of others, communicate more clearly, or simply become more comfortable expressing your ideas?

Whether you’re preparing for an important presentation, want to develop your leadership and communication skills, or the thought of public speaking makes you nervous, Milford Toastmasters is a friendly place to learn, practise and grow.

We’re a well-established Toastmasters club based at Milford Primary School, near the picturesque shores of Lake Pupuke. Our members come from across the North Shore and bring a wide range of ages, backgrounds and experience.

You don’t need any previous public speaking experience to join us. In fact, many of our members first came along because they wanted to become more confident.

We meet on alternate Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm. Our meetings give everyone the opportunity to speak, practise new skills, receive helpful feedback and learn from others — all in a relaxed, supportive and encouraging atmosphere.

### Come along as our guest

Visitors are always welcome, and there is no fee or obligation to join. You’re welcome to simply come along, see how a meeting works and meet some of our members.

There’s no pressure to speak on your first visit unless you would like to.

If you enjoy the experience and would like to become a member, we’ll be happy to explain how Toastmasters works and help you get started.

You can find more information about Milford Toastmasters, our meeting location and upcoming meetings on our website:
