See all- "Behind the Glass": 2 Way Mirror PortraitureLOCATION WILL BE COMMUNICATED WITH REGISTERED MEMBERS, Milford, CT$100.00
Step into a space where art, psychology, and light converge.
In this intimate workshop, limited to just 10 participants, internationally acclaimed photographer Angela Strassheim invites you to explore the power of two-way mirror portraiture—an emotionally layered and visually compelling process that challenges both viewer and subject.
Angela will share the conceptual foundation of her work, including insights from her ongoing series The Visitors, and guide you through the delicate balance between observation and vulnerability. Each participant will experience both roles: as photographer behind the camera and as sitter behind the mirror. Bring your own camera and a short playlist that resonates with your inner world—this music will accompany your sitting, just as it does in Angela's portrait sessions.
As the day transitions to evening, the workshop will move outdoors. With the forest as your backdrop and nightfall providing the perfect conditions, you'll have the rare chance to work with the mirror in a natural, low-light setting—an extension of Angela’s own process.
Whether you're seeking to deepen your portrait practice or explore a more conceptual approach to photography, this immersive experience offers a unique opportunity to see—and be seen—through a new lens.
NOTE: This event will take place at an off-site location. We will communicate details to registered members closer to the event.
