Sledding & Skiing for Kids - Snow Day @ Ruby Hill

We're planning the ultimate "Snow Day" meetup at Denver's best winter park: Ruby Hill, with some free hot cocoa for everyone to keep you warm.

Ruby Hill is famous for its amazing city views and sledding, so it's a nice place to enjoy the scenery while the kids play.

This park is also great because it offers TWO amazing winter activities right next to each other. This is a "choose your own adventure" day, perfect for all ages.

### Activity 1: The Sledding Hill (All Ages)

Bring your sleds, tubes, and saucers! Ruby Hill has a massive, wide-open hill that is famous as one of the best sledding spots in Denver.

This is perfect for all ages—from the 1-year-olds getting a gentle tow to the older kids (and parents!) who want a fast ride.

### Activity 2: The "Practice" Ski/Snowboard Park (Adventurous Kids & Parents)

This is what makes Ruby Hill so unique! The park is home to the Ruby Hill Rail Yard, a FREE urban terrain park for skiing and snowboarding.

• It's 100% free to use.
• It's designed for all skill levels, especially beginners. It's a "hike-up, ride-down" park, making it a perfect, no-pressure way to practice.
• Great way to do some "practice snowboarding" with your kids without paying for a lift ticket.

### What to Bring:

• Sleds! (Tubes, saucers, etc.)
• Your own ski/snowboard and helmet if you have them.
• Warm, waterproof clothes (snow pants, gloves, hats).

This entire event is 100% dependent on snow and conditions.

1. Sledding requires natural snow.
2. The Rail Yard is seasonal and its opening is set by Denver Parks & Rec.

As we get closer, I will confirm in the event comments that the event is a "GO." If there's no snow or the park is closed, we will reschedule.
