I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Holly C.F. I have been an active organizer for the past 4.5 years with Lake Country Friends 50+ organizing over 700 events. I took over the group fully Oct 2024. Today 7/13/25 I stepped up to run this group. My committement to you is to offer a variety of events that are fun, unique and engaging.
What we’re about:
Our Group is designed for friendly, active people (50+ yrs and older). This Group is for singles, divorced, widowed, and couples who want to have more fun in their lives and make new friends. We offer a variety of events with something for everyone. The Southeastern WI area has so much to offer and it is more fun sharing with friends. Please join us!
We encourage all of our members to attend events, as well as host events! Just ask Holly C. F to make you an Event Organizer so you can host an event of your own! Hesitant to host an event by yourself? Please reach out and ask another member or friend to host it with you!
Please be aware that our Group is not intended to be used as a dating service. Relationships may happen organically. Members will be asked to leave the Group if it appears that is the sole purpose for joining.
Annual Dues: $10 dues is being implemented as of 7/13/25.
$20 annual fee will be implemented starting Jan 1, 2026 to help cover operational fees and offset the costs associated with large events. If you do not pay the annual fee, the app will remove you from the group (but can pay and rejoin at any time). You can pay by PayPal, Zelle or venmo or pay by check ( message me for address) or even cash. Holly Corso-Fons resquu2006@aol.com , 262-825-2237. Collecting dues this way will help eleviate the fees collected on the Meetup App. You can bring a guest to an event up to 2 times and then after that a $10 event fee will be charged for the non member guest . When the non member guest reaches $20 they will automatically become a member. If its a different guest that attends our events the same rule applies. WHEN YOU SEND THE MONEY PLEASE MAKE A NOTE THAT IT IS FOR MEMBERSHIP DUES .
Member Requirements
✅ Must be at least 49 years old.
✅ Have a profile photo — we’re a community, not anonymous strangers! Your photo helps other members recognize you at events and helps hosts welcome newcomers.
✅ Be kind and respectful — treat others the way you’d like to be treated, including other members and staff at venues we visit.
✅ Harassment, bullying, gossip, or unwelcome advances are not tolerated. This group must remain a safe, friendly, and welcoming environment. Members who engage in inappropriate behavior may be removed at the leadership team’s discretion.
✅ Honor your RSVP — if you say you’re coming, please show up on time or let the host know if you’ll be late. If you can’t make it, change your RSVP to NO as soon as possible.
✅ No-shows for events where expenses were made on your behalf are expected to reimburse the host; failure to do so may result in removal from the group.
✅ Thank your hosts! Remember, they are unpaid volunteers who plan these events to create great experiences for everyone. A simple thank you goes a long.
