About us

Mind Play Meetup is a friendly, beginner-friendly community for curious people who want to explore hypnosis, NLP, EFT tapping, communication skills, personal growth, and the fascinating ways the mind can change, learn, and respond.

This is not a lecture series where you sit quietly while someone talks at you for two hours.

This is a playful, interactive space where you can experience interesting mind-based exercises, ask questions, watch demonstrations, practice simple techniques, meet like-minded people, and discover what becomes possible when learning is fun, practical, and experiential.

You do not need any prior experience with hypnosis, NLP, EFT, coaching, psychology, or personal development to join us.

If you are curious, open-minded, respectful, and willing to participate, you are welcome here.

At Mind Play Meetup, we may explore things like:

Hypnosis and hypnotic experiences
Self-hypnosis and imagination exercises
NLP and practical mind skills
EFT tapping for emotional regulation
Confidence and communication exercises
Rapport, influence, and language patterns
Guided group experiences
Fun demonstrations of how suggestion and attention work
Simple practice activities you can try for yourself

Some events are more educational.

Some are more experiential.

Some are more social.

Most are a blend of all three.

The goal is simple:

Learn something useful.

Experience something interesting.

Meet good people.

Have fun.

And leave with at least one moment that makes you think, “That was cooler than I expected.”

This group is especially good for people who are looking to make new friends, socialize, network naturally, explore personal growth, and enjoy unusual but welcoming events with curious people.

Mind Play Meetup is led by Michael D. Milson, AOS, CC.Ht, MPNLP, RMT, CAHA, Director of Michigan Hypnosis Institute. Michael’s style is practical, playful, respectful, beginner-friendly, and focused on helping people experience these ideas directly rather than getting lost in heavy theory.

A few important notes:

This group is educational, experiential, and personal-development focused. It is not therapy, medical care, mental health treatment, or crisis support.

Participation is encouraged because that is where the fun and learning happen, but you are always free to decline an activity or volunteer opportunity.

Events may be recorded for educational, promotional, membership, course, or social media use. If an event requires a separate registration or waiver, those details will be provided before attending.

If you are looking for a fun, welcoming, slightly geeky group of people who enjoy exploring the mind, trying new things, and discovering what is possible, join us.

Your mind is more playful than you may realize.

Come explore it with us.
