About us
We skip the tourist traps to introduce you to the local makers, hidden ateliers, and soulful stories that make our city vibrate. Whether you're here for a day or a decade, welcome to the neighbourhood. We're also building something bigger here too: a community of creators, change makers, and proud Porto businesses — with more tours, more gatherings, and more reasons to stay a while, already in the works

Held in Memory: A Memory Board Workshop
atelier.968, R. de Dom João IV 968, 4000-300 Porto, Portugal, Porto, PTTO GRIEVE IS TO LOVE
Grief is an expression of love. Join The Mindful Step and Julie Ann Ferreira of Sol Touch Healing for an intimate three-hour afternoon of remembrance, to celebrate those we have loved and lost, whether a parent, a friend, a partner or a much-loved pet.
Julie Ann is a space holder and healing arts practitioner. We will begin the afternoon with gentle body-based and mindfulness practices to help you arrive and feel safe. From there you’ll make a memory board, a collage built from photos, words, mementos and the small details that remind you of your loved one. The afternoon closes with a short ritual together.
This isn’t a craft class but it also isn't a sad afternoon. It’s a warm, unhurried space to remember, create and be with others who understand loss. No art experience is needed, and sharing is always optional.
What to expect
- Grounding practices to help you settle in
- Time to create your memory board at your own pace
- Space for reflection and, if you want it, sharing
- A closing ritual
- A keepsake you can keep adding to
What to bring
Copies of photos (ideally not originals), handwritten notes, articles, recipes, song lyrics or small mementos that remind you of your person. We will provide scissors, glue, colours, poster paper, old magazines and light refreshments.Good to know
