About us
Samye Foundation Wales Mindfulness and Well-being is a group of experienced mindfulness teachers and practitioners based in Cardiff. As well as providing regular mindfulness and meditation courses in the community we also offer courses such as Tai Chi, Qigong and Yoga as well as complementary therapies, psychotherapy and counselling at our centres.
We also have a Tibetan Buddhist Dharma centre in Cardiff with regular Buddhist events, which are open to all.
We have a large conference/lecture room which seats 50 people, two tastefully appointed and spacious therapy rooms and tea/coffee making facilities. All our rooms are available to hire at reasonable rates - they ideal for therapists or local community groups seeking to establish a base in the city. If you are interested in room hire then please contact us.
We are open during the week for visits and complementary therapies, as well as for courses and retreats when these are running. If you would like to make a special visit, then please get in touch and we will help facilitate this.
Our group is inclusive and we welcome all from all walks of life irrespective of race, creed, gender, age and sexual orientation.

Saturday morning Green Tara Puja
248 Cowbridge Rd E, 248 Cowbridge Road East, Cardiff, GBYou are welcome to come and join us for the Green Tara Puja chanted in Tibetan. (Female aspect of compassion working with are fears).Texts are available to follow (in phonetics). Led by a member of Kagyu Samye Dzong Cardiff.
All welcome to attend.The Green Tara puja takes places in the Tara Room on the ground floor of 248 Cowbridge Road East, Cardiff CF24 2LP. The door will be open at 8am and you can wait in our Tibetan cafe. So please arrive in time for the puja as the door will then be closed at 8.15am. RETREAT DAY: ASPECTS OF COMPASSION
Samye Foundation Wales Mindfulness & Wellbeing Centre, 250 Cowbridge Road East, Cardiff, al, GBThe theme of the day will be Compassion. You will be guided throughout the day using compassionate exercises that will help to nurture your feelings of self worth.
The setting will be in our hall at the Samye Mindfulness and Wellbeing centre. Blankets and cushions are provided but you are also welcome to bring your own. You will be required to take your shoes off so please wear warm socks. You will hear the gentle sounds of the waterfall and fountain in our garden as you relax into the exercises.
Incense or a diffuser will be on throughout the day. Please let us know before hand if this may irritate your chest and we will accommodate accordingly.
There will be an opportunity to talk with Lorraine about the 8 Week Compassion course if you are interested in joining.
There will be an opportunity to talk in the lunch hour but the 2 tea breaks will be in silence.

MORNING OF MINDFULNESS IN THE TRADITION OF ZEN MASTER THICH NHAT HANH
Samye Foundation Wales Mindfulness & Wellbeing Centre, 250 Cowbridge Road East, Cardiff, al, GBDaffodil Sangha will be meeting on Sunday 22 March 10am-12noon for a morning of mindfulness in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hahn. The main focus of our practice is to become aware of how precious it is to practice together, and to support each other by listening deeply. The practice is simple, and usually includes some guided meditation, slow walking meditation in the beautiful garden, silent sitting, readings, sharing from the heart and recitation of the mindfulness trainings.
