The Psychology of Buddhism was enjoyed so much on film night that people felt it would be beneficial to digest what we have learnt on a retreat. The retreat day will consist of meditation, followed by 30 minute sessions throughout the day watching The Psychology of Buddhism by the late Prof Rob Nairn who covers the Four Noble Truths. We will then break for refreshments and discuss what we have understood in each session. The retreat will follow this schedule:

10am : Buddhist prayers and meditation
10.30am: The Psychology of Buddhism Part 1
11am: Discussion and Refreshments
11.30am Buddhist prayers and meditation
12pm: The Psychology of Buddhism Part 2
12,30pm: Discussion and Refreshments
1pm: Lunch
2pm : Buddhist prayers and meditation
2,30pm The Psychology of Buddhism Part 3
3pm: Discussion and Refreshments
3.30pm Buddhist prayers and meditation
4pm: The Psychology of Buddhism Part 4

Rob Nairn resigned as professor of criminology at the University of Cape Town in 1980 in order to follow his spiritual path. His training in Jungian psychology and Buddhism including a four year isolation retreat at the Samye Ling Tibetan centre in Scotland - enables him to transalte ancient Eastern wisdom into concepts we can understand and apply. Rob was an internationally sought after lecturer in Buddhism and meditation.
