What we’re about

Join us if you think you might enjoy hiking with others silently while practicing mindfulness through movement. There will also be time to chat with each other as we walk to and from the trailhead together. We will spend approximately 2 hours hiking silently on forested and mountain-top meadow trails with expansive views, including the surrounding Cascade peaks on clear days.

Walking silently together gives us time to stop and tune into our surroundings. We notice our reactions to whatever we experience on the trail (including our own thoughts), to our physical body, to what is brought before our senses. We have the opportunity to pay attention to our breath, to feel the sun or mist on our face, to feel the breeze against our skin. We can tune into the sights, sounds, smells, and textures around us - together. Immersing ourselves in our surroundings by consciously engaging our senses will leave us feeling calmer, connected and more relaxed by the end of the hike.

Unfortunately, dogs and children will not be able to participate in these hikes.
