Please join me in this Mental Health focused class as we guide students through the gentle Vinyasa Flows, while also encouraging them to inquire from within and become one with their emotions. This class will be a slow-paced, Vinyasa Flow suitable for all skill levels – whether you are completely new to yoga or looking to try classes with a slower pace than your normal workout, my class serves as a “safe space” that you can come to rest your mind at the end of the day. In fact, there are studies that show yoga can improve mental health, increase relaxation, and reduce irritability in those that practice.

My personal journey has brought me to yoga as a healthy coping mechanism and I hope to transfer that knowledge and power to my students. I got my yoga certification last year and have been working on developing my personal practice since then. I also am currently enrolled in a continuing education course which focuses on Trauma Informed Yoga. This is my first step into teaching and I am so excited to be working with Heal One World to start out my journey.

Vinyasa based class focused on breathwork, body alignment and asanas to boost our essential mind/body connection. This inclusive class allows you to calm the mind and focus on the strength of your breath and body, moving from an opening meditation and warm up, building into a flow and deeper into specific asanas completing with total relaxation. Great class for all levels from beginner to advanced.

Kirstin received her 200-hour yoga teacher training certification at Zuna Yoga in Bali, Indonesia. She has been practicing yoga since 2004 and has learned the importance of yoga in cultivating balance, strength, and overall well-being. She loves sharing her knowledge and practice with others, especially those who are new to yoga. Kirstin loves teaching the Heal One World community and empowering her students to achieve their own greatness.

Teacher bio:
My name is Sudha. I am a hard core sports gal and life for me meant running and doing activities each day. A major ankle injury set me back and opened me up to Yoga. Initially it started because that was the only exercise I could do but the deeper I got into the principles of yoga and its mind body connection, the more my life changed. After finishing my YTT, I taught every Sunday at Dolores Park, San Francisco for a few years. I had to stop for a few years because of surgery and other turbulences of life. Recent few years, I was able to integrate my meditation and yoga practices a bit more deeply into my life. I teach not because my Asanas are perfect but because I am hoping that this will take me even deeper into my own practices and discipline.

Class description:
I genuinely believe in the power of yoga to heal our mind and body. The ultimate goal of yoga is to simply accept ourselves and discover our true inner joy from within. It's an exercise of taking what we learn from the mat into our lives and living authentically. This class will be happening on all weekdays and will be a combination of breathing, asanas and meditation to help us tackle daily stresses of life. It 's not about the level of yoga you are at but about bringing your holistic self and begin with where we are and together explore the intricacies of our body and mind.
