
What we’re about
This Meetup is for those on a vegan path seeking to deepen their mindfulness through group meditation and discussion without the incongruencies often found in non-vegan mindfulness groups. Through regular meditation practice, our intention is to cultivate greater internal peace and presence, and to bring more mindfulness and compassion to our interactions with the external world and all beings.
We meet every Monday from 6:00 to 6:30 pm Pacific time. We typically start with 15 minutes of silent meditation, followed by 15 minutes of mindful sharing (talking is optional). By the way, all are welcome – vegan, vegan-curious, and vegan-supportive. We hope to see you soon!

Please join us online for a peaceful, free half-hour of vegan-oriented meditation and mindful sharing. We’ll meditate together in silence for 15 minutes, then share brief thoughts on a vegan or mindfulness-related topic. Talking during the second half is optional, but we do ask that all participants keep their video cameras on throughout the session to reduce trolling. Please be sure you have Zoom installed and working properly before attending.
No prior experience with meditation is necessary, and meditators of all levels are welcome. While we don't provide instruction in how to meditate, the basics are easy to learn through various online resources such as those here and here.
During the sharing period, our purpose is to discuss veganism and mindfulness. Please try to stay on these topics, be kind to others, and avoid discussing politics. For a full list of weekly discussion topics through April 2024, click here.
NOTE: the meditation will begin promptly, so please arrive on time. When you enter, you will see a meditation timer counting down from 15 minutes - please join and begin meditating.

Amidst the global suffering of a worldwide pandemic, environmental ecocide, and industrialized abuse of animals, there comes a call for compassionate action. The Compassion Consortium is a spiritual community created to serve the needs of vegans, vegetarians, animal rights activists, and others who care about and advocate for animals and the planet.
The non-sectarian monthly service features interfaith reflection, music, meditation, and a conversation with a special guest. It's open to all sentient beings of any spiritual tradition.
The program is monthly on the fourth Sunday of each month at 1 pm Pacific / 4 pm Eastern. Attendance at Compassion Consortium events is always free of charge, but registration is required: https://www.compassionconsortium.org/sunday-service. Hope you can make it.
