RESCHEDULED - Saltaire World Heritage Site Trail - Starts at 11am

World Heritage Site walking Trail around Saltaire.

This Trail explores this wonderful purpose-built village which served the workers of Titus Salt’s textile mill. It won’t take you long to see why Saltaire was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site – the architecture is stunning and the park at the end is well worth packing a picnic for!

The walk is 2 miles, we will complete the trail in small groups of approx 6 at a steady pace, so to take in the sights and have fun. You will be given a trail full of historical facts but in a Cluedo kind of way :-)

The route around Saltaire is flat and level. There are two very short sections on cobbles which are fairly even.

The Trail finishes in Roberts Park which has a café and is also a great place for a picnic or a stop at the cafe in the park.

We will meet in the Big Salt's Mill car park and parking is free.

Please see the directions below on the correct postcode to follow (not Salt's Mills postcode as this leads you to the wrong side of the mill).

SAT NAV USERS: entering the correct postcode for Salts Mill brings you to the wrong side of the Mill for the car park. Instead, please set your Sat Nav to BD17 7EF. When it tells you you've reached your destination, keep going along Salts Mill Road following the brown signs - you'll pass a big red brick chimney on your left as you cross the canal, then you'll see the mill at the end of the road. Proceed through the gates into the free Salts visitors car park on the right. You can gain access into Salts Mill from the car park.

As daring adults, let's embrace our adventurous spirits! Your safety and that of your fellow explorers are in your capable hands. So join the walk and prepare yourself because Saltaire is calling. I believe in providing a more intimate and personalised experience, so I prefer to send groups off in smaller numbers so nobody (new or old members) feels left out. Alternatively, you can form your own group with your friends to embark on this thrilling journey together!

This event is FREE. However, we will be collecting donations for MIND, the charity our Adventure Group supports.
