WALKING EVENING TRAIL
Step into a world of suspense as you embark on a thrilling adventure set in the historic city of Ripon. As you wind through cobbled alleys, along the canal, and into Victorian parks, unravel the gripping tale of the missing Charter Hornblower. For centuries, Ripon’s Charter Horn was a nightly beacon of protection against Viking threats. Every evening at 9pm, the Hornblower sounded the horn from Ripon Town Hall, keeping the town alert against Viking raids. But last night, the horn fell silent – a mysterious twist that calls for your detective skills!

Your Mission
In small groups (so nobody gets left out), you will unravel a series of clues whilst immersing yourselves in this captivating "who done it" challenge. Each clue you decipher will eliminate suspects and bring you closer to unravelling the truth. Can you solve the riddles, eliminate suspects, and free the kidnapped Hornblower before 9pm strikes?

MEET: 7pm – We will meet in the marketplace next to the Obelisk - the big monument. (look for your guides—cheerful detectives armed with maps and plenty of intrigue!).

END: Once the mystery is solved, if you would like to continue (optional), you're welcome to celebrate your group's achievement by joining us in a local pub for a well-deserved drink.

THE IMPORTANT BIT:
As daring adults, let's embrace our adventurous spirits! Your safety and that of your fellow explorers are in your capable hands. So join the walk and prepare yourself because Ripon is calling.

I believe in providing a more intimate and personalised experience, so I prefer to send groups off in smaller numbers so nobody (new or old members) feels left out. Alternatively, you can form your own group with your friends to embark on this thrilling journey together!

THE WALK: This walk is mostly on paved paths and is an easy walk over 2 miles. Your group will be going at a slow pace as they look for clues, listen to stories and follow directions.

This event is FREE. However, we will be collecting donations for MIND, the charity our Adventure Group supports.
